Overview
Under the direction of the Operations Manager or designate, the Facility Operator will perform a variety of tasks related to Ice install and preparations, event set up and tear down, housekeeping duties, preventative facility maintenance, emergency repairs, and day to day operations while maintain a cohesive and Team approach work environment with an expectation of a high level of customer service.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$20.00 CAD

Responsibilities
Assist with arena ice install, removal, and daily, weekly maintenance. Resurface hockey ice based on usage and need. The resurface schedule may change from day to day.
Working knowledge of operations equipment including staging, audiovisual, lighting, small equipment tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, ice resurfacer, edger’s etc.
Assist with event preparations including but limited stage set up and tear down, set of tables and chairs, AV equipment, meeting room spaces as required.
Set up and tear down and preparation of Main Tenant games and or events
Ability to lift 50lbs and climb ladders/work from heights as required.
Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns as required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language required.
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple assignments.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays.
Able to work independently and under minimal supervision.
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and fans.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preform maintenance including but limited to: painting, drywall repairs, maintain exterior sidewalks, snow and ice removal, parking lots and grounds and various other tasks.
Cleaning to meet sanitation requirements and protocols. Areas included but not limited to: bathrooms, bowl seating, common areas, dressing rooms, hockey benches, meeting rooms
Able to work independently and under minimal supervision
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12
Forklift Operator Certificate
Skid Steer Operator Certificate
Aerial Lift Operator Certificate
Current Class 5 Drivers License
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and safety policies established by the facility
WHMIS
Demonstrated ability to deal courteously, effectively and tactfully with the general public and building vendors
